He took the car to the Ford dealer in Raleigh. They test drove it, no questions asked, and found that the front axle shaft was defective and the control arm was broke. They gave us a rental car and assured us if the clunking noise was still there, they would continue to fix it even if he was out of the warranty period (which is coming up soon).
My fiancé took his 2014 Ford Fiesta ST here for warranty work. There was a clunking noise from the front whenever shifting gears or going over bumps. They absolutely refused to test drive it, basically saying they don’t get paid to diagnose it.
My 70 year old mother took her car to have her oil changed. When she arrived, she closed her trunk and the back window came down. Being a regular customer, she asked the service department to simply put it back up. When the service advisor asked if she want it fixed, she said "no, just get it back up, since it is raining". My mother lives on a fixed income. After the oil change, the service advisor said it would be 450.00 to replace the motor for the window. She explained she simply wanted it put back up and not replaced. The service staff was so kind to put a board inside the door to keep the window up, since they dismantled it. Oh, have I mentioned, they charged her 104.00 to "diagnosis" the problem, which she never asked for. I took it back today because there was a gap in the window. They explained the board was not a long time fix. I TOTALLY understand and aked them to please do something until I could take it somewhere else. I took it back to them because I wanted to understand just why they charged her 104.00 to put a board in. No answer. I have now picked up the car so that I may take it to someone who will not take advantage of mother. The end of this review is simply this.... I actually drove the car off the lot with DUCK TAPE on the window and no reimbursement for the 104.00 she paid for this mess. I have purchased cars from this dealer before; however, never again. You can also believe, I WILL NEVER USE THEM FOR SERVICING ANY TYPE OF VEHICLE.
My power steering went out the day before I was moving across country. Every Ford dealer in Raleigh said 2 weeks . I called them and they went above and beyond to find the part locally and then the Tech Ernie came in on his day off to John in service who helped me every step of the way down to price. I was able to get my trip going without only a half day down time. Good service for people.
You guys should take some customer service notes from the Raleigh dealership.
On December 16th, I went to go look at a Mustang they had for sale. They immediately got me in it for a great price/rate and the vehicle was in great condition. By far the best dealership experience I've ever had! My only complaint was the length of time it took before I could drive my baby away. Thank you so much!
Once again, Jonny, Donielle, Harry and the rest of the staff reminded me why I drove the extra distance to look for a new car. After hours, and days, in other dealerships; this is the second time I've proudly bought a car from Leith Ford. Last time, I priced checked their rates and prices against 2 other local dealers. This time, I priced checked them against the same two dealers, and three others out of town/state and was told every time that the price provided by Leith was unbeatable. Thanks Leith Ford and see you all again, happily, in three years.
