Very clean, kind staff, my dog is well cared for, glad I've found them for my pooch!

Having worked at a veterinary hospital for the past 5 years when my husband and I moved further from my job I needed to find a vet close in case of emergencies or getting to work wasn't feasible. So when my relief vet at work told me all the good things about Neuse River I knew I needed to try them out.

Amazing caring staff that went above and beyond during my dog's final days of fighting cancer. Dr. Connie is wonderful and incredibly caring and perceptive. The facility is clean and nice. They schedule well so that you aren't sitting for hours in a crowded waiting room. Highly recommend!

Dr. Connie was amazing with him even sitting on the floor for his exam since his go to when you're messing with him is to lay down. She was very easy to talk to and discuss options with and took into account that I do work at another hospital, discussing what could be done where.

Took 3 of my 4 four animals to this office for a year. Both check-ups and sick visits. I always thought the fees were high, but the staff was pretty nice and it was close to my home. Over the last year I have spent a small fortune at this office. The last visit was $300 a month ago for an overnight visit for one of my dogs. Fast forward to today. Same dog. Despite our best efforts, she has refused to eat very much for a few days and I am really scared. I called the vet to see if I could drop off my dog and was told that I could....but she is going to need a fecal and a distemper shot, to the tune of about $100. When asked why a 12 year old dog would need this for a vet visit, I was told that it was policy. I asked why this was not policy the last time my dog was there and stayed overnight a month ago and was not given a straight answer. I informed the lady that this same dog has been to that office five times over the last year and no one has ever said a word about either of these things. I told her that it felt a lot like they were just concerned about making money and not about my dog. She cut me off and put me on hold. I will never be back.

I throughly respect her and am thankful for her taking the time with Ryker and I. Being on the true client end for once our visit was much more at ease and enjoyable than it could have been elsewhere. Tucker, Ryker and I look forward to many more visits with her and the amazing staff.

I know some animals act out in front of their owners and knowing Ryker does better with minimal restraint I let the technicians know what to expect of him. They listened to what I said about his behavior which I think made his visit at a new place more enjoyable.

My dog is a brachycephalic breed (i.e. Pug, bulldog, Boston terrier, etc). I relocated to Wendell 2 years ago and found Neuse River because they were in close proximity. So, Idecided to use them for my pets veterinarian. When it came time to trim his nails, they tried to but indicated that they had a hard time doing so, so they wanted to put him under to trim the nails. The previous vet that I used trimmed my pets nails and didn't put him under. They indicated that he got worked up and didn't want to constict his breathing anymore, so they needed to put him under to trim his nails. So I allowed Neuse River to do this, which they did twice while he was a patient. I couldnt stand doing this to my pet anymore, so, I talked to other Vets and they said that putting these types of breeds under is a high risk, due to their difficulty breathing (brachycephalic breed). I decided to seek out another Veternarian and found one that was able to trim his claws with no problem. I am very glad I switched and found another Veterinarian that was insightful, informative and who I feel generally cares for my pet. It made me think were they putting him under because it was easier for them?

The staff was wonderful and super helpful with getting an appointment set up and working around my work schedule. The hospital was clean and welcoming as were the staff. My 6 month old German Shepherd Mix is a big baby and they were very patient and kind with him.
