I hired Brian's Plumbing to repair a leaking water main at a rental townhouse that I own.
Brian's Plumbing went out there and dug around the water meter and claimed to not find a leak. I promptly paid him and forwarded the bill to the HOA for re-imbursement since Brian's Plumbing indicated that there was no leak (I figured that I should not incur a cost due to misinformation from the HOA) .
I had another plumber come out to give me another estimate for repair and they indicated that not much digging had been done around the meter. The other plumbers verified the leak by simply making sure that all of the spigots, washer, toilets, etc. inside the home were not running and then looking at the meter to see that water was still flowing through the meter itself. Brian's Plumbing simply dug around aimlessly and said there was no leak.
The HOA sent out their own plumber and he ascertained that there was indeed a leak (at a charge of $75). I informed Brian's Plumbing of this info and asked how thew would remedy the situation. They said that they would send photos verifying that my meter was not leaking and give me more information. They failed to send me any photos or give me any additional information and then they simply refused to return my phone calls (at least five voice mails) and emails.
The Homeowner's Association for the community (HOA) contacted me to inform me of the water leak that was flooding the water meter.
My Complaint through the Better Business Bureau and negative review on Angie's list were responded to with inaccuracies and blatant lies by Brian's Plumbing.
I had to hire another plumber to replace the water line (which did fix the problem) at a cost of $1200.
I hired Bryan to repair two leaking outdoor spigots and a tub at our residence. He repaired the tub fine, but scratched the hell out of it while standing in it in his boots. During repairing the spigots, he broke the flange on one and said he would return within the next week to replace it, he has never returned and they will not answer or return my phone calls. I would never recommend this place!
As far as I am concerned, I have been totally ripped off by Brian's Plumbing either by fraud, incompetence or negligence -or a combination of all three.
